Sungorth got a new playable webgl version!


Just finished making a ton of improvements to Sungorth.   So many I can't think of them all off the top of my head! 

Dialog is probably the biggest change. I got writing help from two Portland stand up comics.   Trying to work in dialog with pay offs.   Will continue to punch up the script as the game development continues.  But things are in a better place than they have been in a long time.

I finished playing through Celeste this weekend - super inspiring!  That game does so many things well that I want to be doing.  I'm going to add some dashing into Sungorth soon, pretty sure it'll be a weapon that turns you into a rocket donkey temporarily.

You can now:

  1. Skip dialog by pressing the fire key
  2. Enjoy smooth door transitions that I keep finicking with
  3. Enjoy new dialog
  4. Enjoy new audio ( dialog voices, background music )
  5. Enjoy upgrades that kinda make sense
  6. Enjoy Some map changes
  7. Not enjoy no ending to the game and a pretty abrupt drop in quality after the slime boss
  8. Collect more upgrades with descriptions that make sense:
  • Upgrade your rate of fire
  • Upgrade your jump height
  • Upgrade your speed
  • Upgrade your magic regen ( which you'll need when your rate of fire gets high )
  • Recover Life
